Osteopathy Success Stories
Julia Philpott has been practicing at the Hertfor dNatural Therapy Centre for more than 3 years. This is one of her case studies:
'I first met Catherine when she cam to me with acute lower back pain. she had been working in training and development for 12 years-a demanding and stressful job. Catherine drove 45 minutes to work each day and spent many hours at her PC and organising staff.
'On top of this she ran a home with her partner and 2 children. she had suffered from chronic back pain for years and just thought, 'That's life'. but as the pain increased and her energy and quality of life suffered, she was desperate to get help. She was unaware of anything that could be done and resigned herself to a lifetime of painkillers, until a friend recommended osteopathy.
'She came to my practice worried and in pain, concerned that the treatment may be painful and further damage her back. She also had concerns about the length of treatment and cost. I assured her that treatment was safe, not painful and reasonably priced.
'The length of treatment varies, but most people respond well after a few treatments. Catherine was reassured and after 3 treatments was pain free and improving every day. Her energy levels increased and her quality of life improved, she asked for exercises to do each day because she wanted to be fully involved in her rehabilitation process and regain her former fitness.
Another case of Julia's is George, who was suffereing froma painful hip and stiff and painful neck. He had been a farmer all his life, spending hours doing manual work in all weathers. He attributed this pain down to hard work and old age and believed there wasn't much he could do but take painkillers. Within a few weeks of treatment there was a marked improvement! When George was pain free Julia developed a personalised maintenance programme for him. He remains active and without pain.
