| Stuart FitzSimons MNIMH, a Medical Herbalist coming to Natural Health

Natural Health is pleased to announce that Stuart FitzSimons MNIMH, a Medical Herbalist with 25 years experience is now available for consultations in Hertford from Friday 12th July.
Stuart FitzSimons MNIMH Dip. Phyt, has been a herbalist for nearly 25 years, and during that time his work has involved him in all aspects of herbal medicine. He has run clinics, lectured for the School of Herbal Medicine, taught at training clinics and acted as an examiner for the School and the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. Stuart has formulated products and advised companies on product promotion. For the last 4 years Stuart has been a director of Swiss Herbal Remedies Ltd, a company supplying the highest quality herbal extracts to health food stores and pharmacies. In this task he has travelled the UK and Ireland, visiting health stores training staff in the use of herbal products. This work has also seen him take an active part in the new European legislation surrounding herbal medicines and products.
Stuart’s work on essential fatty acids and hempseed oil has been published in the British Journal of Phytotherapy, and he has written articles for newspapers and periodicals.
What is Herbal Medicine?
Herbal medicine, quite simply, is the oldest and most natural form of medicine there is, with treatment based upon the use of herbal extracts in liquid, capsule or tablet form. Each prescription is tailor made for the individual patient. Herbal medicines dispensed by herbalists nowadays use herbal extracts that are made to UK GMP, which is the highest quality demanded of herbal extracts under European and UK legislation.
What Happens at the Consultation? How much does it cost?
A visit to the herbalist is very much like visiting your GP. The main differences being that much more time is taken by the herbalist to get to the root of your problems, and you will receive an individually tailored herbal remedy as treatment. The consultation is about ‘you’ and how to help you back to health. It’s not just about symptoms. Part of your consultation may well include some basic medical tests such as a blood pressure reading.
An initial consultation with Stuart is £60.00.
Subsequent consultations are £30.00
Medicine is charged at an average of £6.00 for a weeks supply
